My voter choice is what?

Somebody the other day asked me "Well who you voting for McCain of Obama?"  I paused then had to say "well how do you know I am not voting for someone else"  They then said "well if you want to waste your vote that's fine."  But that's when it hit me.  This is it.  These are the two choices I guess I really have.  Sure I could vote Nader, Libertarian, Alice Cooper, Bugs bunny, or any one of the other ones available.  But he is right.  It is a waste of a vote.  Sure, choose someone else who is better suited but what will that mean.  They won't get in, not as long as we have an electoral system which is not fair.

I mean what chance do any one of these others have a shot at being president.  Ralph Nader for example.  This guy really makes sense when you listen to what he says.  But not one of the big honchos CBS, Fox, NBC, etc, will ever even grant the guy an interview.  Never will you see any of these others invited to the debates.   Never do any of these guys get a platform to tell what they are about.  That  because the special interest money, aka the corporations run this country, they have the money so their voice is heard in the people they want elected to promote what they are about: money. Until a system is put in place to get rid of the special interest money, which will have to be some sort of publicly funded device, we will still have two choices, Democrats and Republicans.  Which means we will have more of the same which we have had for decades.   We all complain about this and that but until that changes, we are helpless to do anything.  Sure you can find several differences between the two, but both parties are starting to look pretty much the same, which makes me wonder that after the two parties debate or work on some sort of legislation and then argue with one another over this or that, that after hours I think they just go to the same bar, get hammered with one another, then are back at it tommorrow pretending that they are strongly divided and working for my best interest.  The only difference between the two as far as I see, which one will bend over faster for the money than the other.   Remember, that during a campaign the majority of the money is spent on those annoying ads which keep me from watching something really meaniful, like football.
