Charmaine Waack

Charmaine Waack, age 81, of 308 Briarcliff Road in Reedsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center with family by her side.

Charmaine was born on June 20, 1932 in the town of Rantoul, daughter of the late William and Holdena (Hackbarth) Eickert.  She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1950.  On November 15, 1952, Charmaine married Harvey Waack at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion.  They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together last year.  Harvey preceded her in death on December 8, 2012.  The couple owned and operated their farm together with the help of their family.  On January 1, 1979, the farm became Waack Family Farms, Inc., and is still in existence today, carried on by their son and grandsons.  Along with farming and taking care of her family, Charmaine played dartball, watching sports on television, going to sporting events, and was an avid card player, always wanting to get her family in on a game.  Her granddaughter Carrie was always one of her favorite players.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Charmaine is survived by one son Gary Waack of Reedsville; one daughter and son-in-law: Gail (Brian) Haas of Reedsville; five grandchildren: Tim (Amy) Waack of Reedsville, Troy Waack of Manitowoc, Chris Waack and fiancé Stacy of Reedsville, Carrie (Paul) Schweigl of Sheboygan, and Bryce Haas of Reedsville; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Bob (Dolores) Eickert, Gerald (Bonita) Eickert, and Ronald (Glenda) Eickert all of Brillion; two brothers-in-law and four sister-in-law: Ervin (Elaine) Waack of Valders, Norman (Caroline) Krahn of Brillion, Ida Mae Krepline of Brillion and June Waack of Manitowoc; special relative Carson Stark; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey, great-grandson: Brendan Waack, two brothers-in-law: Orville Krepline and Elroy Waack and one sister-in-law: Betty Krahn.

Funeral Service for Charmaine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.  Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Timothy Nommensen with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth.
