May 16 & 24, 2012: Manitowoc Public Library-Free Google Docs, Nook Classes. Manitowoc Public Library offers free computer classes every month. The focus of the first two classes in May is Google Docs. These will be Tues., May 8th at 9am, and Wed., May 16th at 2pm. The second two classes, Thurs, May 24 at 3pm and 6pm will focus on Nook ebook readers. All classes are free and open to the public. May 20, 2012: Paddle The Branch River. While canoeing help inventory the invasive species threatening the natural system of the Branch River. The Canoe Trip will start out at 2pm at the Franklin Town Hall in Taus (Taus Road and CTH J). Tom Ward will present a short overview of invasive species and canoe safety and trip details. The trip dowriver will be up to 2 hours long. Cost is $2 for non-members and FREE for members of FOBR. If you are in need of a conoe it is $5 per person regardless of FOBR membership status.
