Naked Newlyweds Chase Down Car Thief

An Australian couple got the surprise of a lifetime when a man attempted to steal their car.

Newlyweds Sandra Scott and Jim Rice were relaxing in their bedroom when a man snuck into their home through the back door. When Scott went to investigate the scene, she witnessed the intruder taking off with her car keys in hand and called for her husband to help. The couple chased after the man but they forgot one thing -- their clothes.

The duo's lack of clothing wasn't necessarily on purpose. Rice told Yahoo News Australia that after running "around in circles" for about 10 seconds looking for something to put on they gave up and headed to stop the car thief.

The intruder was in the driver's seat of the vehicle, which was parked in front of their home, when Scott and Rice caught up with him.

"We just started screaming at him as loudly as we could non-stop to get out," Rice explained, adding that the man tried to "shhh" them but they continued yelling.

Eventually, the intruder gave up on his mission and returned the car keys but not before asking for a ride.

The couple reported the man to the police.

Despite being "pretty tattled" by the situation, Scott and Rice looked on the bright side that they were finally able to meet their neighbors after being in their home for six months. They also learned to lock their back door.
